Excellence in the category up to $600,000

Excellence in Category up to $600,000

Nestled on a three-acre lot in Upper Macungie Township is this beautifully designed three-bedroom, two-story home. The combination of stone and brick with the overall exterior exudes an old-world charm. The Baroque glass windows on the stained raised panel fir double doors bring in a lot of light. The foyer opens into the two-story Great room where your eyes are drawn to the stone fireplace. Two custom-made bookcases flank the fireplace. Another beautiful feature is the stairway leading to the second floor with its oak rails and newels, and antique bronze finish.

Adding to the old-world charm of the home are the custom made painted and glazed kitchen cabinets with crown moulding, coffee brown Silestone countertops, and cabinets with glass insets. A lovely wine cellar door was used in the pantry which blends in perfect with the charm of the kitchen/dinette.

The finished three car garage features carriage style garage doors and has a large storage area above that will be finished in the future and is accessed by a rear stairway. A no step entrance from the garage to the house makes the home wheelchair accessible.

Excellence in Universal Design

Universal DesignThis lovely brick front ranch home possesses carriage style, colonial raised panel garage doors with Fleur-de-lis handles to finish the charming look. The cathedral ceiling sunroom at the rear of the home gives the feeling of being at the beach with the help of the gray cedar shake-like siding. The dark wood Brookhaven kitchen cabinets are accented beautifully with the brushed satin nickel hardware and black appliances. The tile backsplash with a mosaic design at the range added richness to the kitchen. A large cultured marble shower stall is featured in the master bath. The adjustable handheld shower head gives you the option to use a shower chair if need arises. Mosaic tile was laid on the master bathroom floor for a nice accent to the double bowl vanity.

A no-step entrance from the garage to the house makes the home wheelchair accessible. The halls and doorways throughout the home are all large enough to accompany the use of the wheelchair or a walker.

Excellence in Additions Up to $100,000

AdditionsEveryone could use a little more room in their home, which is why our customer had us build this twelve-foot by eighteen-foot family room addition. The exterior materials were matched up to the existing siding and shingles. Once the addition was framed, windows, skylights, sliding door installed, exterior finished, and insulated, the wall between the new addition and the existing living room was removed. This was done by temporarily supporting the floor above and installing a specially designed welded steel beam.

The Pella double hung twin and half circle window unit and two Velux skylights bring plenty of sunlight into the new living area. A Pella Designer French-style sliding door was added for additional light and access to a lovely brick patio. Select red oak hardwood was then installed giving the feeling the family room was always this size.
